Newest WellStar Health Park to Begin Construction
The Cherokee Health Park will be built in two phases on a 60-acre site at Sixes Road in Holly Springs.

WellStar Cherokee Health Park is slated to begin construction in late summer 2017, with an anticipated completion date late in 2018. The nearly $80 million facility will serve as a one-stop-shop for patients, providing convenient access to world-class healthcare.

The Cherokee Health Park will be built in two phases on a 60-acre site at Sixes Road in Holly Springs, just off I-575. With 85,000 square feet of space, Phase 1 will include physician offices, medical imaging, urgent care, a sleep center, cardiac diagnostics, lab outreach and physical therapy.

“As a not-for-profit, we are committed to improving the access to convenient, affordable healthcare, close to home,” said Candice Saunders, WellStar president & CEO. “The WellStar Cherokee Health Park represents our dedication to caring for the people of Cherokee County and providing world-class healthcare in the community.”

WellStar has pioneered the concept of health parks in Georgia. “Once complete, Cherokee County residents will be able to see their doctor, have necessary tests performed and get prescriptions filled in one convenient location,” said Joe Brywczynski, senior vice president of health park administration and development. “Over the next decade, we expect to see outpatient services continue to grow. WellStar is leading the way by offering innovative solutions and world-class healthcare.”

With 1,216 team members living in Cherokee County, WellStar is committed to meeting the community’s healthcare needs and is the leading provider of inpatient healthcare to Cherokee County residents. Phase 1 represents a $39.6 million investment in Cherokee County.
