Wellstar Primary Care

Laura Stinson, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners who provides comprehensive primary care for adult patients age 18 and older. She focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic conditions, including hypertension and high cholesterol.

Laura earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of West Georgia. She is committed to helping patients understand the importance of healthy lifestyles and preventive care and works collaboratively with each patient to support long-term wellness.

Laura welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Patricia Annette Barrett, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner providing primary care for patients ages 5 and older at Wellstar Primary Care in Douglasville, Georgia. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of West Georgia. She is certified in family practice through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Annette provides comprehensive family medicine services focused on preventive care, chronic disease management, and overall wellness. She cares for patients with a variety of health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, high cholesterol, anemia, and obesity, and also offers annual wellness exams, preventive screenings, follow-up care, and specialist referrals when needed.

Known for her compassionate and educational approach, Annette is passionate about helping patients better understand their health conditions and empowering them to make informed healthcare decisions. She believes every patient matters and is committed to providing personalized care and resources that support lifelong wellness.

Annette is a member of the Georgia Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, as well as reading and golfing. She welcomes new patients and accepts most major insurance plans.
