Dr. Oswaldo "Oz" A. Henriquez is a board-certified otolaryngologist serving the Wellstar community since 2023. He provides comprehensive ear, nose, and throat care with a focus on the treatment of complex sinus and anterior skull base diseases, as well as the surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid diseases. He also has a clinical interest in adult craniomaxillofacial trauma.
Dr. Henriquez earned his medical degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship followed by a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Emory University. Dr. Henriquez was subsequently selected for a highly competitive one-year fellowship in Rhinology and Sinus/Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery under the mentorship of Rodney J. Schlosser, M.D., and Zachary M. Soler, M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Before joining Wellstar, Dr. Henriquez served for a decade as faculty at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Emory School of Medicine, where he achieved the rank of Associate Professor and held the positions of Co-Director of the Skull Base Surgery Center and Associate Chief of the Ear, Nose & Throat Division at Grady Hospital. During his tenure at Emory, he received numerous awards and distinctions, including the William J. Grist, MD Teaching Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching and Emory’s School of Medicine Hidden Gem Award. He currently holds an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor for the Department of Otolaryngology at Emory University.
Dr. Henriquez is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker on topics related to sinus disease, nasal polyps, CSF leaks, sinus/skull base surgery, and craniomaxillofacial trauma. His research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals.
In addition to his clinical practice at Wellstar, Dr. Henriquez is an active member of the otolaryngology community, both locally and nationally. He previously served as the president of the Metro Atlanta Educational Society of Otolaryngology and currently holds the position of Secretary of the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology, where he will assume the role of President for the 2026-2027 term. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, where he was honored with the “Honor Award” for his continuous engagement over the years.
Dr. Henriquez is married with three children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid Atlanta United and Real Madrid soccer fan, and he also enjoys cooking and playing golf.

He attentively listened to my concerns and took the time to thoroughly review my medical history in MyChart. While doing so, he found a previous scan that had been performed for something completely unrelated and was able to identify the source of the problem I had been experiencing. I truly appreciated the time, effort, and attention Dr. Henriquez gave to my concerns. Too often, patients can feel like their concerns are quickly dismissed or they are given a diagnosis without much explanation. That was not my experience with Dr. Henriquez. He listened, investigated further, and explained what he found. I left feeling heard and confident that my concerns were taken seriously. He highlighted my options and stated he understood my concerns. The medical assistant escorted me to see the doctor although I was 20 minutes. After taking my vitals, she stated Dr O would be right and he knocked within 3 minutes. I was impressed and pleased.

Dr Henriquez was great. Approachable, energetic, communicative and of course knowledgeable. I experienced some ear issues and he resolved it quickly. I would highly recommend dr Henriquez to anyone who may experianc some ear issues.

Absolutely. I'd include Dr. Oswaldo Henriquez naturally so the review specifically recognizes him. I was extremely happy with the care and concern I received from Dr. Oswaldo Henriquez. He attentively listened to my concerns and took the time to thoroughly review my medical history in MyChart. While doing so, he found a previous scan that had been performed for something completely unrelated and was able to identify the source of the problem I had been experiencing. I truly appreciated the time, effort, and attention Dr. Henriquez gave to my concerns. Too often, patients can feel like their concerns are quickly dismissed or they are given a diagnosis without much explanation. That was not my experience with Dr. Henriquez. He listened, investigated further, and explained what he found. I left feeling heard and confident that my concerns were taken seriously. Thank you, Dr. Henriquez, for going the extra mile and providing such thorough and compassionate care.
