Carolyn Smallwood, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive, whole-person care for patients age 5 and older. She has a strong commitment to preventive health and values honest, respectful communication as the foundation of a successful patient-provider relationship.
Dr. Smallwood earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine after completing her bachelor’s degree in cross-cultural studies from Toccoa Falls College. She also holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in environmental health science from A.T. Still University. She completed her family medicine residency at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado, where she served as Chief Resident. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Smallwood provides a full spectrum of primary care services, with a special focus on preventive care. She is dedicated to staying current with evidence-based research and techniques to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Outside of work, Dr. Smallwood enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. She loves traveling, gardening, cooking, and reading. She welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
