Specialized care for every pregnancy emergency
The Obstetric Emergency Departments at Wellstar offer expert evaluation and treatment for patients who are 20 weeks pregnant through six weeks postpartum. At Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center, obstetric emergency care is available beginning at 14 weeks of pregnancy.Each patient is evaluated by a board-certified obstetric provider and supported by maternal-fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, nurses and midwives. This streamlined approach helps ensure timely diagnosis, rapid treatment and seamless coordination during urgent or unexpected pregnancy concerns.
