About Nathan Mordel, MD
Dr. Mordel received his medical training at Hadassah Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, graduating with a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After coming to the United States, he completed a residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics and a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is an active fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Mordel specializes in advanced robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal pelvic surgery, including for fibroids, endometriosis, heavy and/or painful menstrual periods, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Mordel has performed thousands of robotic and laparoscopic cases - over 5000 hysterectomies and myomectomies for uteri up to 4,500 grams (10 pounds). He has performed over 500 sacrocolpopexies and over 2000 excisions of endometriosis. His conversion rate is less than 0.1%. Certain complex cases require multispecialty participation - Dr. Mordel collaborates with robotically trained colorectal and urological surgeons.

I have never gotten responses from a nurse and doctor as quickly as Kim and Dr. Mordel got back to me whenever I messaged through the portal. Dr. Mordel is an incredible surgeon and it was very clear how much he cares about his patients from the first appointment to the last.

Dr. Mordel truly listens, and that alone means so much. He is incredibly mild-mannered, patient, and deeply compassionate. You can feel that he genuinely cares, not just as a doctor but as a person. His kindness made a difficult experience so much easier. His staff reflect that same level of care, so warm, attentive, and supportive. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Mordel and his amazing team.

I had Dr. Nathan Mordel as my doctor and surgeon for a teratoma, and honestly, he was a really great doctor. He answered any questions I had, and he was just always consistent with making sure that I understood everything and I felt comfortable. And yeah, totally will recommend him moving forward with anybody that I meet that may be having any similar symptoms or worries. He's definitely one of the best doctors I've met.

Every person at this office from the front desk, medical assistants, nurses and Dr. Mordel were extremely kind, competent, and helpful. I have never gotten responses from a nurse and doctor as quickly as Kim and Dr. Mordel got back to me whenever I messaged through the portal. Dr. Mordel is an incredible surgeon and it was very clear how much he cares about his patients from the first appointment to the last.
