Wellstar Urology

Dr. Chun graduated from Emory University in Atlanta and received his medical degree from the University of Miami. He completed his general surgery residency at the Hospital of St. Raphael and his urology residency at Brady Urological Institute and Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Chun is board certified in Urology. He joined Urology Associates in 2003 and is currently on staff at the Marietta and East Cobb Health Park offices. Dr. Chun is committed to minimally invasive surgery and performs cutting-edge surgery using the daVinci Surgical System. He is a prominent thought-leader for robotic prostate and kidney surgery. He currently serves as a proctor for robotic-assisted surgery and has given a series of lectures on the benefits of the daVinci Surgical System.

Dr. Chun provides Interstim therapy for urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, urinary retention and fecal incontinence. He has over 10 years of extensive experience in therapy and has been a proctor for Interstim procedure since 2006. He offers the therapy at both the Kennestone Urology Procedure Center and Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

Arturo E. Holmes II, MD, specializes in minimally invasive surgery with a focus on complex kidney stone disease, robotic urinary tract reconstruction and kidney cancer. Dr. Holmes grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2011. He then pursued his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Meharry College, graduating in 2017. His postgraduate training took him to SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn where he completed an internship in general surgery in 2018 and residency in Urology in 2022. He then continued his training at the University of Washington, completing a fellowship in Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery in 2024.

When not working, Dr. Holmes enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Drake grew up in Ohio, where he earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Cincinnati. He earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati as well. He completed general surgery and urology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He then moved to Atlanta and practiced urology for 12 years before joining Wellstar Urology in 2024.

Dr. Drake is Board Certified in Urology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association and the Endourological Society. He is also a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. He treats patients with a wide variety of urologic conditions. He sees patients with cancer (prostate, kidney, bladder, testicle), BPH, erectile dysfunction, overactive bladder, and urinary tract stones. Dr. Drake is experienced in using the DaVinci robotic surgical system for minimally invasive treatment of urologic cancer and reconstructive procedures but is also skilled in using traditional open and laparoscopic techniques. He is also familiar with multiple minimally invasive procedures used to treat BPH.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and running, as well as attending sporting events of all types. He is an avid fan of Atlanta United and the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.

Dr. Theiss graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from James Madison University and completed a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health Program at University of Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her general surgery and urologic residency training at University of Miami.

Dr. Theiss is a board certified Urologist whose training covers the breadth of urology. She has particular interest in medical and surgical treatment of kidney stones, enlarged prostate disease – including minimally invasive procedures, female pelvic prolapse and stress urinary incontinence, and cancer of the prostate and bladder. She is a published author and has presented her research at national and international urology conferences. Her goal is to provide consistent and beneficial results for her patients. In addition, Dr. Theiss is fluent in Spanish and is a Clinical Urology Instructor for Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Her clinical interests include:

• Enlarged prostate disease including minimally invasive procedures and medical management
• Kidney stone management and minimally invasive surgery/endoscopy, and prevention
• Female pelvic prolapse and stress urinary incontinence in women
• Urologic cancer – Bladder, Prostate

She is a member of American Urologic Association, Cobb County Medical Society, Medical Association of Georgia and Christian Medical Dental Association. During her leisure time, Dr. Theiss enjoys running, adventure traveling, gardening and being with her kids and grandchildren. She enjoys participating in mission trips to the Middle East and Central America as well as leading neighborhood Bible studies with her husband.

Dr. Benjamin Harper served as an active duty Navy Hospital Corpsman where he completed a tour of duty in Iraq with 1st Battalion 24th Marine Corps infantry division. After leaving the military he obtained his Bachelors of Science with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry at Valdosta State University, followed by medical school, general surgery internship, and urology residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.

Dr. Harper grew up in McDonough, GA. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and playing piano.

Dr. Murphy Townsend received his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Also at the University of North Carolina, Dr. Townsend earned a medical degree with honors.

Dr. Townsend completed his general surgery internship at Shands Hospital, University of Florida in Gainesville. Before pursuing urology, he completed two years of radiology training at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle, WA. He completed his urology residency at Emory University and Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Townsend is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Watson graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.Sc. in chemistry and a biochemistry specialization. Dr. Watson received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, where he completed his general surgery internship and urology residency. He then completed a Fellowship in Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Watson is one of few fellowship-trained laparoscopic and robotic urological surgeons in metro Atlanta.

Dr. Watson's clinical interests include:

• Minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic cancer (oncologic) surgery
• Prostate, kidney, bladder and adrenal cancer
• Prostate, kidney, bladder and adrenal surgery
• Kidney stone treatments and surgery
• Benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate) surgery and medical management
• No-scalpel vasectomy

Dr. Watson has been an Instructor for the Department of Urology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and serves on several committees for Wellstar Health System, including:

• Chief of Urological Surgery at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center
• Chair of the Wellstar Prostate and Genitourinary Cancer Subcommittee since 2015
• Wellstar System Cancer Committee - Lead Surgeon
• Urology representative for the Kennestone Medical Care Evaluation Committee

He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and also a member of:

• Society for Robotic Urological Surgery

Dr. Watson is a reviewer for the Journal of Endourology, among other journals. He has published his work in peer-reviewed journals (The Journal of Urology, Journal of Endourology, Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics). He is a perennial recipient of the Castle Connolly Top Doctor award, Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor award, and Georgia Trends Top Doctor award.

Dr. Watson grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children. In his spare time, he enjoys the Georgia outdoors, playing and watching sports.

Michael Bryant is a Georgia native having grown up in Gwinnett County and has lived in the Atlanta area most of his life. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Amherst College in Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from Emory University, where he also completed his internship in general surgery and his urology residency.

Dr. Bryant is Board Certified in Urology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association. He treats a wide variety of men’s and women’s urologic conditions and is committed to providing compassionate, effective care using the latest medical advances and technologies.

Dr. Bryant is married with two young children and a dog. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, movies, books, and is an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta United, and University of Kentucky basketball.

Dr. Reena Kabaria received her undergraduate degree in neuroscience & chemistry from Emory University. She earned her medical degree and completed residency in urology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.

In her spare time, Dr. Kabaria enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and food.
