Wellstar radiation oncologists work as part of a greater multidisciplinary team including medical oncologists, surgical oncologists and surgeons in many specialties, genetic specialists and more. We believe in doing what’s best for each patient.
As a member of Wellstar Cobb Hospital’s cancer program, Radiation Oncology works closely with others in the other cancer specialty groups to deliver world-class care to every patient. The Radiation Oncology team at Cobb Hospital also collaborates with team members focused on caring for patients with cancer, including dietitians, social workers, nurse navigators and a chaplain, in order to provide care for the patient’s body, mind and soul.
Highest standard of care
Many of our radiation oncologists are board-certified, achieving the highest level of training in the field. This means the people we treat can expect the highest standard of care. Additionally, our team is highly experienced, treating patients every day in our high-volume center. In 2021, the Cobb Radiation Oncology practice will begin offering stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic radiosurgery body treatments to patients.
