Our doctors, surgeons and specialists treat orthopedic conditions with expertise. Our team performs each procedure with the highest quality standards, reviewing every total joint treatment to assess improvements, as well as closely monitoring each patient’s post-operative journey. When possible, we utilize minimally invasive, arthroscopic techniques which typically involve shorter recoveries with fewer complications.
We have a comprehensive program that begins as soon as your doctor recommends surgery. You’ll receive advice on what to expect with your surgery, as well as information about resources you might need. We’ll answer your questions and touch base with you a day or two before your surgery date to address any last-minute concerns.
We have instituted same-day discharge for the majority of our patients, allowing you to recuperate comfortably at home. We ensure you have all the necessary equipment needed after your surgery and facilitate setting any necessary physical therapy appointments before discharge. For patients whose conditions require they stay for observation and recuperation, we also provide personalized in-patient care, as well.
At Wellstar Douglas, we are a Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Center. The extensive resources of our Wellstar Health System give our care breadth and expertise to meet any healthcare challenge.
