Dr. Coggins received his gastroenterology training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic and opened his LaGrange practice in 1991. You can request your own appointment at his practice, West Georgia Physicians Gastroenterology; a physician referral is not necessary.

Dr. Coggins and his staff treat diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, gall bladder, liver and pancreas, such as:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux, Heartburn (GERD)

• Peptic Ulcer Disease
• Inflammatory conditions of the intestinal tract such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis

Dr. Coggins also has completed three years of speciality training in gastroenterology. Gastroenterology fellowships are only undertaken after four years of medical school and three years of internal medicine residency. This training qualifies him to perform specialized diagnostic procedures including:

• Capsule Endoscopy (Pill Cam)
