Dr. Coggins received his gastroenterology training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic and opened his LaGrange practice in 1991. You can request your own appointment at his practice, West Georgia Physicians Gastroenterology; a physician referral is not necessary.
Dr. Coggins and his staff treat diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, gall bladder, liver and pancreas, such as:

Dr. Coggins also has completed three years of speciality training in gastroenterology. Gastroenterology fellowships are only undertaken after four years of medical school and three years of internal medicine residency. I'm an established patient and it took a long time to get in to see Dr. Coggins. They only wanted me to see nurse practitioners, not him. And I only wanted to see a physician, not a nurse practitioner. And there's so many of them, I feel like everybody is pushed towards the nurse practitioner instead of the doctor himself.
