Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center.

Adult & College Volunteers

There is a minimum commitment of six months or 100 hours of service required for all Adult Volunteers (those age 18 or older). If you are able to meet this commitment, please follow the process outlined below to become a volunteer.

Fall Semester: Application due by September 15
Spring Semester: Application due by February 15
Summer Semester: Application due by April 15

Becoming a Wellstar Volunteer

Complete the online application.
Provide current Immunization Record:

Birthdate prior to 1957: No immunization records required.
Birthdate of 1957 or after: Obtain proof of immunizations. We require proof of two Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), two Varicella immunizations, or proof that you have had the disease, as well as documentation of the Tdap (Pertussis/Whooping Cough) vaccination.

All volunteers are required to obtain an Influenza Vaccine each flu season (September-March).

Once all the required information is received, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. If, after the interview, you are selected to become a Wellstar MCG Health Volunteer, you will be required to authorize a background check, get TB testing, and attend an orientation session prior to your start date.
