The Rural Health Access Program (RHAP) is a free, community-based program that connects expectant mothers in rural areas and small towns with education, care coordination and personalized support. Support through every stage
RHAP connects mothers and families in rural communities with a care team that provides:- Support throughout pregnancy and after your baby arrives
- Education to help you prepare for childbirth and early parenthood
- Care for physical and emotional well-being
- Help finding doctors and coordinating care
- Connections to community resources such as food assistance, transportation and local programs
Who can participate?
Expectant mothers in Burke, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Johnson, McDuffie, Warren and Washington counties are eligible to enroll. RHAP is grant-funded, and all services are provided at no cost.How to enroll

RHAP services include:- Pregnancy and postpartum care, including doula services
- Childbirth education and parenting classes
- Breastfeeding education and one-on-one lactation support
