Dr. Sohinki received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He then completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. While at OU he also received his master’s in clinical and translational science. His clinical interests are atrial fibrillation (AFib), ventricular tachycardia (VT), complex supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), device-based therapies for arrhythmias, risk factor management as therapy for arrhythmias and inherited arrhythmia syndromes. His research interests include improving outcomes after AFib ablation, device therapy in patients with congestive heart failure, mechanisms of arrhythmogenesis in patients with structural heart disease and VT, mapping of complex arrhythmias and ablation biophysics.
