Volunteer at Wellstar Cherokee Health Park
Volunteers are essential to our mission, and Wellstar Cherokee Health Park needs more volunteers to assist patients. Volunteers staff positions at major corridor intersections, guide visitors, help patients get to their doctors’ appointments, and assist with getting wheelchairs and transport. Apply using the form linked below.
- If you are 18 or older, complete the online volunteer application form. If you are under 18, please visit the Wellstar VolunTeens page to apply.
- Applicants born after 1957 must include immunization records for MMR, Varicella and Tdap. If you do not have access to your immunization records, you can request a blood titer for MMR and Varicella through your primary care physician or walk in lab clinics. You may also contact a local urgent care to inquire if they offer blood titers.

- Attend a scheduled interview with the Volunteer Coordinator. The coordinator will reach out to schedule the interview once your application is complete.
- Complete and sign a background check authorization form.
- Receive information about next steps in the volunteer application process.
- Orientation is scheduled once a month at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center.
- The Volunteer Coordinator will share details about the next scheduled orientation during your interview.
- At orientation, you will receive information about HIPAA, safety, emergency preparedness, and much more. You will share your assignment preference and availability.
- After orientation, the Volunteer Coordinator will finalize your assignment details and communicate with you about a start date and onboarding details.
