Arrived at 7:44 am. I sat in the waiting room until almost 9 am before I was checked in by admissions. I asked why it was so long and was told all the other people had to be checked in first since their appointment was before mine. Very poor experience .

A communication breakdown occurred at the end of the visit. The doctor told me he wanted to see me in a month and then specified the date. He led me to believe he had scheduled my next appointment (which has never happened to me at a doctor's office anywhere before) and when I asked for clarification and said I would be out of town that week, his response was very confusing. He directed me to a "scheduler" but that person didn't seem to know what to do. Somehow she contacted someone who scheduled my next appointment. When I got home, the scheduler for my CT scan called and told me when I had been scheduled for my CT scan. Surprised I had been assigned an appointment without consulting with me first, I indicated I would be out of town that week. She was very kind and we arranged a mutually acceptable date. Typically before leaving other WellStar practices, I am given a visit summary and directed to the person who can check me out and schedule my next visit. If I am due for a scan prior to that visit, I am provided the phone number so I can make the appointment. The exit process yesterday was very unusual, but everyone was kind.

You come in downstairs, have to sign in to this little kiosk, then you have to wait for somebody to call you who then takes you into a back area and then you go back upstairs and you're not sure where to go. So that piece is a little convoluted. Aside from that, everything else was outstanding. Thank you. Bye.
