About Vidya Soundararajan, MD
Dr. Vidya Soundararajan was born in Philadelphia, PA. She obtained her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. During her career as a student, Dr. Soundararajan served as Residential Advisor at Penn State, and as Administrative Chief Resident at Washington University School of Medicine during her residency. She also received the Annual Student Research Symposia Science Award, the Berlex Laboratories Resident Teaching Award, and was awarded the "Best Second Year Teaching Resident". Dr. Soundararajan is board-certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, of which she is a fellow member. She joined the premier team of professionals of Douglas Women’s Center, PC in 1999 and continues to serve as both an obstetrician and a gynecologist.
Dr. Soundararajan is certified in da Vinci® Surgical System, also known as robotic surgery, and is pleased to provide her patients with the most advanced, minimally invasive options available when surgical intervention is needed.

I have gone to Dr. S for many years! I trust her completely. I actually feel that she saved my life about 12 years ago when she performed a robotic hysterectomy on me! It was almost painless and I had an easy recovery...especially when I think of other ladies that had a regular hysterectomy!

Experience with Dr S and staff was great!! However, getting into the building was not so great! Parked in front, went to door and found sign that said elevator was not working and need to drive around back to access GYN office. Drove around back and entered building A only to be told I needed to go to building B to access stairs. No stairs there, because you are already on the 2nd floor when entering from the back, but I did manage to find my way to GYN office. Turns out there were stairs I could have taken right inside the first door I stopped at, and they would have taken me just outside the door of the GYN office! Maybe fix elevator that's been out for a while, or add note to sign that the stairs are available for use just inside the door, but if you choose to go around back, enter building B and go to end of hall, turn left, go thru door at end of that hall and GYN office will be on your right.
