About Venu Sajja, MD
Dr. Sajja is board certified in internal medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and nuclear cardiology. He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University and earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Sajja completed his internal medicine internship at the Medical College of Pennsylvania-Hahnemann University and his residency at Drexel University. He also completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at West Virginia University.
His special interests include coronary artery disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Dr. Sajja joined Wellstar Medical Group, Cardiovascular Medicine in April 2009. He is currently on staff at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Dr. Sajja is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is fluent in Telugu.

I liked seeing the doctor at the Acworth Wellstar. My first time there. I like the parking better than at the Whitcher building. It was easy to find the office. The receptionist was efficient. The assistant took me back before my appointment time and doctor was in quickly. He did listen to what I said and asked if I had any questions.

Dr. Sajja was professional, thorough, and very straightforward with me during my appointment. I especially appreciated his honesty regarding my cardiac condition and my ability to return to work from a heart standpoint. He did not minimize my concerns, but he was also clear about what falls within his area of responsibility and what should be addressed with my primary care physician. What stood out to me most was that he took the time to listen and acknowledged that, while my heart may be doing well, my overall medical history, age, work schedule, stress level, and other health conditions should all be considered when determining what is appropriate for me going forward. I respect a physician who will give a patient an honest medical opinion rather than simply telling the patient what they want to hear. I felt that Dr. Sajja communicated clearly, treated me with respect, and genuinely considered my concerns. I appreciate the care he has provided throughout a very difficult period in my life.

The nurse who did my pre visit was wonderful. She was very caring and was not in a hurry. I really wish doctors would take a page from that playbook. The doctor I'm sure is good, but I felt a bit like I was a just one more patient to check off the list. My BP was elevated, but was not really addressed. I was prescribed Repatha which is a self injection. Having never done this before it would have been nice to have had a short lesson on administering it.

My issue is that the doctor tells you that he wants to see you back in six months. However, when you go to the front desk to make the appointment the receptionist at the desk tells you that you cannot get an appointment six months out. This causes problems when it comes to prescription refills, and things along those lines. My last from my last visit it took me nine months to get back in to see my doctor, not the six months that he requested using your system it should be looked at seriously thank you
