Dr. Tyler Fields is a board-certified general surgeon and a fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon. He graduated Cum Laude from the Honors Program at the University of Kentucky and received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he graduated with a Distinction in Research. He received his surgical training at Wellstar Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. Following residency, he obtained specialized training for endocrine surgery at the University of Michigan – one of the oldest endocrine surgery fellowship programs in the country. His specialty training enables him to perform surgery on the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. He also offers his expertise as a general and minimally invasive surgeon.
He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Association for Surgical Education (ASE), and the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES). Within the AAES, he has been a member of the Clinical Practice Committee and the Fellowship Accreditation Committee. He has interests in medical education as well as global health and is part of the program leadership for Wellstar’s general surgery residency program.

While I'm very impressed with Dr. Tyler Fields and am going to have him perform my surgery, I'm very disappointed in his surgery scheduler who has NOT returned my 2 phone calls over the past 72 hours. Really unacceptable as I'm anxious to move forward with this necessary surgery.

I just want to say I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Fields. I trusted him completely with my surgery. He totally explained everything that was going on with me and was very concerned about how I was feeling and my symptoms. And he was just a great, great physician to have in my corner. The front desk staff, Ms. Jasmine B, was really nice when I checked in for my post-op appointment. And then the medical assistant, Katie, K-A-Y-D-I, was awesome. She took care of me through all of my visits to Dr. Field's office. And I just want to say I really appreciate.
