Sunayana “Sony” Venugopal, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care for patients age 12 and older. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their best health through preventive care, personalized treatment, and ongoing support.
Ms. Venugopal earned her nurse practitioner degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a proud member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She specializes in family medicine with particular interests in weight management, anxiety and depression, thyroid disorders, and menopause and perimenopausal care.
In her spare time, Ms. Venugopal enjoys gardening and hiking the scenic mountains of Georgia. She lives in Alpharetta with her husband, two children, and their Yorkie-Poo, Browny. She welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Sunayana was condescending and unprofessional. She scoffed when I informed her I chose Paraguard birth control and called it "outdated" and said "she hasn't seen it in a long time because there are better options, but it's my choice". However, this is one of the longest FDA approved bc methods and has longest duration. Any quality trained NP would have performed a physical vaginal evaluation to check for iud strings and removed if necessary. However, she said it will take in total 3 visits to fully assess and remove. Her lack of empathy proves she should not be in the medical field and she is lacking people skills strongly. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
