About Stephen Cox, DO
Dr. Cox's educational background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in Physics from The University of Georgia, where he also participated in the thriving Athens music scene. He earned a doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from PCOM Georgia - the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine branch campus at Suwannee, GA. Finally, he completed three years at Atlanta Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency Program.
Professionally, Dr. Cox maintains membership with the American Academy of Family Physicians, which has been his primary source of continuing medical education since graduating from residency.

Great experience at Wellstar. My wait time was minimal, and the whole team was professional, friendly, and efficient. I was running a little behind, and they were incredibly understanding, which meant a lot. Thank you all!

The wait is outrageous 3 visits on average about 90 minute wait. I was basically told by the director after I voiced my opinion it is all about the schedule and money we take in for revenue. I am a number and Wellstar doesn't want to care about the patient. I am not saying the Doctor so I am clear. Wellstar should start paying me in 30 minute increments for being late for my time. Another idea would be pickup the phone and tell me to come 60 minutes later then I wouldn't have to write a review like this one.

I was impressed with the test, the cognitive test that was given to me. This was very, very good because it was the first time that I've had a cognitive test done like that and it was really, really good and I really appreciated that. I also was kind of upset when I got to the office, but after speaking to the doctor, he kind of allayed my fears. So I think that was really well said by him. Even though I had some concerns, he was able, you know, to know that we can work in order to get me feeling better. So I appreciated that. That's all. I think overall the visit was well, well worth my effort coming into the office. Excellent.

He is very, very attentive to everything that you say to him and he researches everything so that he knows exactly what to do for you and he is, his bedside manners cannot be improved. He is probably one of the best doctors ever and I cannot say enough good things about him.
