This was my second or third visit with this doctor, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I went in to discuss Wegovy. I understand there are potential side effects, and I also understand that insurance may not cover the medication. My concern wasn't the medical advice itself-it was the way I was spoken to. As a woman, I already understand the importance of healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes. However, the way the conversation was handled made me feel judged, uncomfortable, and emotionally upset. Weight can be a very sensitive topic, and I felt there was a lack of compassion and empathy during the visit. I left feeling hurt rather than supported. Every patient deserves to be treated with respect, even when discussing difficult health issues or treatment options. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this provider.
