Dr. Johnson attended Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va., for his undergraduate education. He went to medical school at Medical College of Georgia and completed his initial orthopedics training in Augusta at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. He then completed fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., and practiced at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio until retiring from the U.S. Army. He now works in Augusta as an orthopedic trauma surgeon and associate professor.

He did good surgery. The staff there is amazing, from the receptionist to schedulers, and even the second-year resident was talking to me. But that was, that's it.
