I was extremely disappointed that my appointment information was very explicit in telling me that I should be there a half hour before my appointment. My appointment was at 8 a.m. and I should be there no later than 7:30, which I was there. And when I got there, the office was not even open and in fact didn't open until about maybe 10 till 8. So that was disappointing. Another disappointing aspect was I was requested to fill out a bunch of medical information ahead of time and medications that I take. And then when I got to the office in the morning, all those questions were re-asked to me because apparently that information did not upload and save properly in the system. So I'm not sure what happened there, but that was extremely disappointing as well.

I have wasted hours today trying to figure out MRI scheduling and insurance. I don't know why this is so complicated. I also wish all doctor appointments were split into 2 where I'd have time alone to collect my thoughts and then meet with the doctor again to ask immediate followup questions.

Rather than engaging with the questions I asked, my concerns were often redirected or answered in ways that did not address them. I left the appointment feeling intellectually dismissed instead of treated as an informed participant in my own care. I expect a specialist to communicate with professionalism, listen carefully, and engage in thoughtful, evidence-based discussion. Instead, I left feeling unheard, anxious, and with significantly less confidence in the patient-provider relationship than when I arrived. The experience was significant enough that I contacted my care coordinator afterward to request a different provider. While I have decided to give this physician one additional opportunity, my first impression was exceptionally poor. Every patient deserves to be treated with respect, to have their questions answered directly, and to feel like an active partner in their healthcare.

The provider of my care was very professional. Her bedside manner was great. She made me feel very comfortable and was a delight to see. I'm so glad I booked the appointment and had the opportunity to meet with my neurologist!

I was extremely disappointed that my appointment information was very explicit in telling me that I should be there a half hour before my appointment. My appointment was at 8 a.m. and I should be there no later than 7:30, which I was there. And when I got there, the office was not even open and in fact didn't open until about maybe 10 till 8. So that was disappointing. Another disappointing aspect was I was requested to fill out a bunch of medical information ahead of time and medications that I take. And then when I got to the office in the morning, all those questions were re-asked to me because apparently that information did not upload and save properly in the system. So I'm not sure what happened there, but that was extremely disappointing as well.
