About Nilay Patel, MD
Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine. He subsequently completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

He takes the time to listen to my issues, my problems, whatever I'm having, and then he proceeds to do his prognosis in a way that includes me, and in a way that's caring for what's going on with me and what's best for me. And so I love going to him, and I feel comfortable going to him.
