About Nilay Patel, MD
Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine. He subsequently completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Patel was very honest and explained the possibilities about shoulder surgery and alternatives that may reduce my pain temporarily. Most of all he didn't make my husband and I feel rushed but took the time to explain things, answered our questions and went over my x-rays with us.He is the doctor I will trust when it's time for my shoulder replacement.

I loved Dr Patel! I've never been to an orthopedic office, and he was so very kind. He listened. He explained he suggested. And he followed through (cortisone injection for me). I will most definitely return! The front office staff were super friendly and helpful, and the nurse who first came in was kind and cheerful. Loved all of the people I met!

He listens and he explains things very well able to understand. and he always has a smile in his face when he comes into the examining room: He is very caring that's a gift from God. because nowadays medical has become a business and that's not good. I'm old-school retired emergency medical technician worked intensive care unit in Texas. I was in the medical field for 30 something years and I've seen the change sometimes it's very discouraging. But you have a very friendly staff and very professional and they greet you very well. It's a beautiful atmosphere in there. I pray that if anybody needs help with knees that they come to Dr. Patel, I highly recommend him. my former director of nursing, has seen him I recommended him to her and she was very pleased. Thank you Dr. Patel. God bless you, sir on your practice..
