About Nilay Patel, MD
Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine. He subsequently completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

The check-in clerk immediately set the tone for the visit. They were welcoming, efficient, and very personable, making the process smooth and stress-free. It's always appreciated when the first interaction is handled with professionalism and kindness. The medical technician was equally impressive-knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly experienced. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable and understood what they were doing, which helped put me at ease during the visit. The doctor was truly excellent. They were extremely thorough in examining my injured wrist and took the time to clearly explain what was happening, what the likely causes were, and most importantly, the plan to get my wrist healthy again. I appreciated the step-by-step explanation of the treatment approach and what we would do next. It's rare to find a physician who balances expertise with such a clear and caring communication style. Even the checkout process was top-notch. The exit clerk went above and beyond by helping coordinate my MRI scheduling and making sure my follow-up appointment was arranged after the imaging. They made what could have been a complicated process very easy. Every person I encountered was professional, personable, and highly capable. Well, everybody was just really, really kind and Dr. Patel was just very knowledgeable, gave a very thorough examination. I had four x-rays, which is three more than I've ever had on my left knee. And it was shown and explained and everything, everybody, everybody, you know, his assistant, the x-ray technician, everybody was just really wonderful and delightful and it was just a really positive, very positive experience. I came home feeling really good about my knee, which was good anyway, about everybody that I had met. So thank you very much. Thank you.

Everyone at this practice was so kind and it was such a good experience. I, on accident, started going to the wrong facility, the wrong WellSTAR facility. And so because we were already going to the wrong one, that made us late going to the practice in Hiram. And so the doctor still wanted to see me and that was just very encouraging because I had, you know, just dislocated my knee and it was kind of a lot. And so he still wanted to see me and they worked me in and were just so kind and it was just a good experience. Thank you.

They were extremely thorough in examining my injured wrist and took the time to clearly explain what was happening, what the likely causes were, and most importantly, the plan to get my wrist healthy again. I appreciated the step-by-step explanation of the treatment approach and what we would do next. It's rare to find a physician who balances expertise with such a clear and caring communication style. Even the checkout process was top-notch. The exit clerk went above and beyond by helping coordinate my MRI scheduling and making sure my follow-up appointment was arranged after the imaging. They made what could have been a complicated process very easy. Every person I encountered was professional, personable, and highly capable. They are truly top-shelf professionals and great ambassadors for the Wellstar Healthcare brand. Experiences like this remind you how important a great medical team is.
