About Nilay Patel, MD
Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine. He subsequently completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

This practice seems to have my health and best interest on the front line. The check in and check out staff are some of the friendliest ladies. The nurse, Dr Patel and his Surgery Scheduler were ON TOP of things. I didn't have to wait long at all for each step of the visit.

I have the best therapist's ever. Adam, Jessica and Jonathon are awesome. They are caring kind attentive very concerned about you and show it. They are Professional to the "T" but friendly and respectful. They encourage you to do the best you can to help yourself. I'm glad I came to this facility Also the reception staff are also great. They greet you by your name and with a smile. I'm happy with everything and everyone. I've made great progress from being here.

Computer systems at check in were terrible. Could not find insurance, said our policy was not valid with United Healthcare. Previous day Wellstar scheduling line had confirmed everything with UH but obviously the Wellstar systems do not talk at all. The whole ordeal made for an awful experience. Also, found the policy very strange that you cannot choose your doctor, but forced to go the doctor I saw once years ago for unrelated problem. The doctor was very helpful today, but the policy makes no sense in terms of customer service.
