My sister who is visiting from out of state (and is a nurse manager so knows how important reviews are) was with me at the visit and is leaving this review: Check in was smooth and the receptionist recognized my nieces which always feels personal about an office! The MA or RN who took vitals was nice, but seemed frustrated my nieces were acting out (but they were sick) and she could have practiced a bit more patience. She was a little rough getting vitals, as well as kept telling them what she was doing wasn't scary, but for a toddler who is sick, it is scary. To be fair, I'm an adult people nurse and they are sometimes a little easier to get to cooperate or at least communicate when they don't like something, but perception of a caregiver is important and that's how both my sister and I felt about her care. The NP was AMAZING. She was thorough, patient, kind, really listened to my sister and gave her the time to share concerns. She was so great with making my nieces feel as safe as possible and answered all my sisters questions thoroughly. She finished each kiddos exam, reviewed the plan of care with my sister and then made sure we didn't need anything before letting us leave. My only suggestions would be that sticker O2 probes be an option if the regular one doesn't work so the person getting vitals doesn't have to pinch their tiny fingers, and a temporal thermometer? My boyfriend and I were also seen at a Wellstar urgent care for the flu and appreciated the care that wellstar provides!
