About Melissa Martinez, DO
Dr. Martinez received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Michigan State University and competed her residency, where she served as chief resident, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI.
Dr. Martinez currently serves as a team physician for Division 1 Kennesaw State University. Dr. Martinez previously served as team physician for the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate team and the Worcester Red Sox. She also served as the team physician for Worcester State University as well as other local colleges and high schools in the Worcester area. She served as an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2018-2022.

This was my first time here, and it's amazing. For the first time, every single employee I worked with was willing to go the extra mile. Also, a very kind lady gave me a complimentary bottle of water. I'm a Wellstar patient, seeing about 90% of my doctors, but this facility is incredibly welcoming and beautiful. I loved it.

As someone who trains five days a week and doesn't want to slow down, I didn't want to be told to just accept the pain and live with it - and she never did. Even when my MRI came back largely normal, she took my symptoms seriously, clearly explained every option available to me, and guided me toward the best path forward. She treated me like an active person who doesn't need to slow down. I'm grateful to have found her.
