About Melissa Martinez, DO
Dr. Martinez received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Michigan State University and competed her residency, where she served as chief resident, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI.
Dr. Martinez previously served as team physician for the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate team and the Worcester Red Sox. She also served as the team physician for Worcester State University as well as other local colleges and high schools in the Worcester area. She served as an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2018-2022.

Dr Martinez took great care of me during my rotator cuff surgery. She communicated everything I needed to know both before surgery and afterwards. She took time to explain everything in a no-nonsense way and listened carefully to my concerns. She's an excellent Orthopedic Surgeon.

She exemplifies her care and genuine concern for her patients. At this most recent visit, I had forgotten to ask her a question about her recommendations, so I did so through one of the nurses. Instead of her simply communicating the message to the nurse, she was king enough to briefly enter the waiting room to catch up with me before I left the clinical office. Her manner is most pleasant and attentive. It's apparent that she listens and takes into account the concerns, feedback and expressions of her patients. Dr. Martinez provided me with a quick and decisive diagnosis to my aliment, then she offered measures that would help to remedy these matters of concern. I'm making progress with the healing of my foot, thanks to your knowledge and "know how." The other staff members were cordial and helpful, as well.
