About Melissa Martinez, DO
Dr. Martinez received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Michigan State University and competed her residency, where she served as chief resident, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI.
Dr. Martinez previously served as team physician for the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate team and the Worcester Red Sox. She also served as the team physician for Worcester State University as well as other local colleges and high schools in the Worcester area. She served as an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2018-2022.

Everyone is very nice and respectful. In the office nurse, xray tech, and Dr Martinez is the kindest Dr I've ever seen. She took time with me and listened. She gave me options on how I can start feeling better!

Dr. Martinez is exactly the kind of physician I needed. As someone who trains five days a week and doesn't want to slow down, I didn't want to be told to just accept the pain and live with it - and she never did. Even when my MRI came back largely normal, she took my symptoms seriously, clearly explained every option available to me, and guided me toward the best path forward. She treated me like an active person who doesn't need to slow down. I'm grateful to have found her.

I came in 3 months ago unable to dress myself because my muscles in my arms hurt so bad from taking that poisonous Statin fir Cholesterol unable to dress myself. Dr Martinez is personable, skilled, talented, intelligent, trustworthy and freakin BRILLIANT! She understands the importance of human touch with her patients to make them feel comfortable and supported. I needed help taking off my shirt but I'm leaving her office dressing my SELF without my help from my husband!!! Independence is life changing medicine! Pay her what she is worth WellStar!

I waited over an hour to be seen which is highly unusual. At about 45 min in, I asked the front desk when I'd be seen. The woman at the front desk went to check. The other woman asked if I checked in. I said I did with someone that was no longer there. She assumed I was just sitting in the waiting area for I don't know what. I said I signed in on the chart. She said I should have told someone I was there. I said I did! The woman I checked in with gave me the chart to sign in. The front desk woman assumed I had done something wrong. I don't know what protocol is but I assume when you sign the chart then you are waiting to be seen. It's unacceptable to have someone waiting in the waiting room for over 45 min without asking them if they need help. And once my appt time came and went, do you not check if that person is there?!?

Great job from the front desk through the back-office staff. My X-ray technician was delightful,a great listener who clearly knows her craft. When you have such capable and attentive staff, it truly makes the physician's job easier. Thank you for getting me started with a clear plan of action. I came in 3 months ago unable to dress myself because my muscles in my arms hurt so bad from taking that poisonous Statin fir Cholesterol unable to dress myself. Dr Martinez is personable, skilled, talented, intelligent, trustworthy and freakin BRILLIANT! She understands the importance of human touch with her patients to make them feel comfortable and supported. I needed help taking off my shirt but I'm leaving her office dressing my SELF without my help from my husband!!! Independence is life changing medicine! Pay her what she is worth WellStar!

Dr. Martinez is the BEST!! She is what a doctor should be----caring and considerate. She LISTENS to her patients. I can't praise her enough. She never rushes me out of there or minimizes my complaints or questions. I think I may just adopt her!

Dr. Martinez is exactly the kind of physician I needed. As someone who trains five days a week and doesn't want to slow down, I didn't want to be told to just accept the pain and live with it - and she never did. Even when my MRI came back largely normal, she took my symptoms seriously, clearly explained every option available to me, and guided me toward the best path forward. She treated me like an active person who doesn't need to slow down. I'm grateful to have found her.

Everyone is very nice and respectful. In the office nurse, xray tech, and Dr Martinez is the kindest Dr I've ever seen. She took time with me and listened. She gave me options on how I can start feeling better!
