About Melissa Martinez, DO
Dr. Martinez received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Michigan State University and competed her residency, where she served as chief resident, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI.
Dr. Martinez previously served as team physician for the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate team and the Worcester Red Sox. She also served as the team physician for Worcester State University as well as other local colleges and high schools in the Worcester area. She served as an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2018-2022.

Situation: Evaluation of knee deterioration and how to proceed. Concise communication by professional. Good listening, applied knowledge how to navigate the varied solutions to my situation. Used my x-rays to outline and educate me on my predicament. Provided alternatives for future treatment to choose from, with possible outcomes from each. I had been reluctant to do the surgical option but after the explanations and answers to my questions, I was much more positive. In spite of my reluctance before this, I have more info to make decisions.

The office was very organized. The nurse/ma and Dr Martinez was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything to me so I would understand. I really feel comfortable with Dr Martinez and I appreciate her taking time and listening to my questions and concerns.

Dr. Martinez had multiple X-rays taken of my knee. She diagnosed me with inflammation of my knee which was caused by very very low arthritis possibly from all my therapy sessions putting pressure on it.
