Provider talked way too much and too fast. She only checked my heart rate. There was no one there to draw blood for my physical. I had to go to another location. Not a great ex coming from Emory. I may have to consider going elsewhere.

The Dr. (M. Patel was professional, informative , and easy to understand. Even though I asked a lot of questions she took the time to explain exactly what my labs showed and why certain tests (lab, etc.) were being ordered and why. She is an excellent physician. I was a little surprised with the new interior setup. (6 mos. later than my last check-up), although the bare staff was friendly and helpful, their routine seemed uncoordinated. The seemly hugeness and openness of the entry and waiting area was cold and quite. No TV, no radio, clock, no magazines or pictures of trees or other things to offer a welcoming attitude. No smiles. I worked with Wellstar Kennestone as a Nuclear Tech for over 20 years and the atmosphere there would put this place to shame. It occurred to me that Wellstar was renovating an area and probably spending huge amounts of dollars while smaller, IMPORTANT, clinics and hospitals inb Georgia are being closed, and put out of business due to government and corporation greed. I hope that patient care is the primary goal here.

It would have been convenient to get my labs done while I was there for my yearly physical fasting instead of being told to come back at 2 o'clock or go elsewhere to get the blood work done which I did since I was fasting and wanted to get it over with.

If possible, I would like it noted that my Doctor, Megha Patel, did not check my ears, nose, or throat. And exclusively discussed my weight during this appointment, and in excess. She did warn me that she is blunt and which I actually appreciated other than the fact that no other things were checked which I thought would be important for an annual physical. I mentioned to the nurse that I wanted to talk about my nose but it was not brought up by Dr. Patel. I know that she heard I was talking but it did not feel as though she was listening to what I was saying.
