Appointments always take a long time to see the provider. Everything else is on time and runs smoothly. Once the provider arrives it's easy to see why she runs behind as she's long winded and often off topic.

It would have been convenient to get my labs done while I was there for my yearly physical fasting instead of being told to come back at 2 o'clock or go elsewhere to get the blood work done which I did since I was fasting and wanted to get it over with.

I have always had a little wait time before seeing the doctor for my scheduled appointment but this time I waited 1 hour past my scheduled time. This seems rather excessive. I know they place patients in afternoon slots who need to see the doctor but it doesn't help the doctor or the patients if so many are added to her schedule that she is unable to stay anywhere close to scheduled times.

Why the doctor is not sticking to the appointment time?

If possible, I would like it noted that my Doctor, Megha Patel, did not check my ears, nose, or throat. And exclusively discussed my weight during this appointment, and in excess. She did warn me that she is blunt and which I actually appreciated other than the fact that no other things were checked which I thought would be important for an annual physical. I mentioned to the nurse that I wanted to talk about my nose but it was not brought up by Dr. Patel. I know that she heard I was talking but it did not feel as though she was listening to what I was saying.

90% of my appointment time with Dr. Patel was spent talking about HER! Her family, her background, her world travels. We spent less than 10 minutes talking about my health concerns. My visit felt like a waste of time and definitely a waste of money as I'm sure insurance will not cover it. I'm extremely upset with the lack of medical care Ireceivedtoday.
