About Li Liu, MD
Dr. Li Liu received his medical degree from Tianjin Medical University and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from The University of Eastern Finland.
He completed his neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at The State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Liu is currently in practice with WellStar Neurology and Headache Center.
Prior to his neurology residency, Dr. Liu worked as a research fellow at The Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain, Columbia University Medical Center, New York. His research on the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative diseases led to a total of 21 research publications, including articles published in highly prestigious journals, such as Nature Neuroscience, and Nature Communication. In 2009, Dr. Liu received New Investigator Award from The Alzheimer’s Association

This is probably the nicest office I have been to. The sweet lady at the front desk is so patient and kind. Erin was amazing. She took her time and explained things very well. Dr.Liu is wonderful. He really wants to make sure you have an understanding of the results and takes him time with you. I highly recommend this provider and office.

I did not like the assistant that came in to help. I had asked her for a band-aid for my insulin sensor. It was coming loose from my arm and I asked for a band-aid because it was still due to be in my arm for the next three or four days and I wanted to put a band-aid so that it would stay in my arm the full time that it needed because it reads my sugar levels or my whatever levels. And she gave me a really small band-aid but she took the seal off of the sensor or the

Dr. Liu and staff at the Woodstock office are AWSOME! Dr. Liu , is the bets doctor I have had in my life. I suffered from many different symptoms that other doctors either put me on one medicine or another. One doctor basically said your a woman. when I was referred to Dr. Liu I was at the end of my rope. I wrote a 2 page synopsis using a legal pad. He read through it and began drawing on it connecting the dots and listening to my needs. The rest is history! Thank you Dr. Liu
