This appointment was a follow-up after an emergency room visit, and my husband and I had several concerns regarding my symptoms. When my husband mentioned that he had some follow-up questions, the provider responded, "I only have time for one quick question." This response made the appointment feel rushed and left us feeling as though there was not adequate time or opportunity to address our concerns. As a result, we chose not to ask any additional questions. Given that this was a follow-up after an ER visit, I would have appreciated a more patient-centered approach that allowed us to discuss my symptoms, ask questions, and feel reassured about my care moving forward.
