Dr. Kathy Empen received her bachelor degree in biology in 1987 from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill. She obtained her medical degree in 1991 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. Before joining the Wellstar, Dr. Empen was with East Cobb Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, P.C. in Marietta.

Making the appointment was very difficult with the robot people not talking to their regular nurses is very hard to connect with them and tell him my problems and concerns about my own child hard time making an appointment because they kept on transferring me when I just needed to go see the doctor
