I absolutely love my primary care doctor. However, I am very unhappy with well star. I got there today and found out that there is now a hospital fee to see your primary care doctor. Regardless of the insurance carrier you have this fee is now tacked on to see in your primary care doctor. I think this is unethical quite frankly I have no plans to ever attend Wellstar again I will be switching to Piedmont. I am sorry that Dr. Justin Ertle is a well star physician. I would love it if he would switch to Piedmont.

Dr. Ertle has been my PCP for nearly 7 years and this is the entire time I've been in Georgia. He is one of the best medical doctors I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. His expertise in the vast area of medicine, his outmost caring practice and his positive, calm and respectful manners are amongst a few characteristics of this wonderful doctor. As long as he is my internal medicine doctor, I feel being taken care of. I have recommended Dr. Ertle to my colleagues and friends many times. Only comment about the practice site was that there was only one person at the front desk, so check-in and check-out took a while. This is not specific to this practice site, but related to the text/email/online platforms. There are too many reminders and prompts to check in before the appointment. Additionally, I did fill out the online questions and forms the day before my appointment, but they did not transfer over to the site, so I had to fill out and answer them again. It is helpful to have an estimated cost before the visit, but it felt like the system was pressuring me to pre-pay, which doesn't seem right. Some may appreciate the option, but there should be a clearer way to indicate a preference to defer payment until insurance has processed.
