Very friendly staff! Dr Mendez was very attentive and answered all my concerns. I look forward to adding him to my care team

the only issue I had was when I walked over the the lab that's connected to the office, I was checked in, sat for about 45 minutes until I asked the lab tech who was calling the second to last patient in to get labs done when would I be able to get labs as I had been there for a while. About five minutes later, a different person came out and said I couldn't get the labs done that day as I needed to submit urine sample at the time I get a particular lab. I know that is the case for our patients in Oncology as well and would have been fine to hear that but I waited so long to be turned away only after I spoke up. I'm not sure what could be done differently but there was definitely a miscommunication between who checked me in and the back office staff drawing blood which led to me spending 45 minutes to not get my labs done. As far as Dr Mendez and his staff, the visit was excellent and it's immediately apparent Dr Mendez cares about his patients.

My appointment was at 8am and I was instructed to be there at 7:45. When I arrived at 7:4, I was told to have a seat bc the person that needed to check me in didn't come out front until very close to 8am. She walked out at 7:59. I then had to wait for her to get settled and logged in. With this being my first visit there, I did not like how my first impression transpired. Don't make appointments at 8am and inform us to arrived no later than 7:45am if you're not going to be ready to receive patients.
