The physcians I've gone to in the department have been knowledgeable and kind. I prefer to just see the attending. Both of the attendings respected this. I absolutely have nothing against doctors learning but I've been going to different teaching hospitals for years. I'm ok if the Dr. is able to keep me focused. Dr. McLeod was able to do that when I saw him for my first visit. Dr. Switzer is great at explaining things. I have a very complex medical history and I am aware new doctors learn from patients who are different than the average patient. I think it's good they do experience different patients history. This department seems to understand that some patients aren't comfortable with residents. I felt heard by this department. I never want to come across as rude or take too much time with an attending.
