Dr. Patel received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Commonwealth of Dominica. He completed his interventional pulmonology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark. and his pulmonary/critical care medicine fellowship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in Newark, N.J.
Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Patel is in practice with Wellstar Pulmonary Group.

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Patel. I have been through a lot in the last nine years and I have not found many that I would say is a great physician, but he is. He listened. He was very informative. I felt like I was an actual person to him and not just another chart. He bought far exceeded my expectations.. everyone on his staff was courteous and friendly. I have been singing their praises all day.

My appointment was very well handled from the time I walked in until the time I left. The staff is very helpful and extremely thoughtful and kind !!!!! Dr Patel. Was very well versed and has set me on a course of action to ensure I am on the right medication (inhalers). He has a wonderful bedside manner, which is very hard to find. I look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Patel and his wonderful staff. Thank you for such a GREAT first visit. IN ADDITION; I did not have to wait any length of time which is so important given my busy schedule. I give a 10 + to this group of fantastic providers.

In spite of me being his last patient of the day, at this visit ~ Dr. Patel was prepared, knew my history, & listened intentionally to what I had to say. He asked questions and then gave his assessment plan for me. I would recommend him 100%

I think they could be friendlier at check-in. Before I even got to the person to check in she just said "name". This was my first appointment there. If she had only said "Good afternoon. What is your name , please?" It would have been more welcoming. I know they do this all day but it would make a difference. I did really like Dr. Patel. He could not have been any nicer. As I was leaving someone at the desk did call out " Have a nice evening ".
