I don't make payments online because of security reasons and my phone being hacked and when I tried to write a check they said the cash drawer was closed. This presented a problem and the staff seemed aggravated and perplexed by the situation. Finally one worker opened a computer and did whatever was needed to take care of the situation. I usually make payments by check. The other payments are card or cash but at first I felt they would not accept any payment except online. This was upsetting for me because again I wanted to make payments at the time of service ($10 copay) and caused me to get upset for a couple of minutes not knowing what was going on and why. It seems that every time I go there is something that goes wrong be it something with processing finances, communication, misunderstanding or staff being unfriendly. Staff needs to realize that you can be professional without being unfriendly. Most patients are already stressed coming into the hospital and especially when they have serious conditions. Staff needs to be friendly and if they are having problems, put that aside and make the patient feel as comfortable as possible because we are often dealing with more in our life with life issues including finances, relationships and severe health issues. I am and I feel most of my health issues have been caused by the neighborhood I live in which I cannot afford to move.

She told us where to turn for answers to questions not in their realm of treatment e.g. carotid problems. This person spoke clearly, which was important for 95-year-old patient with hearing problems in both ears.

Yes, Dr. Patel inspired me. I was extremely nervous about the procedure about having any kind of operation after my experience...On May 31st, but Dr. Patel listened to my concern. He gave me very factual information that I could relate to, he didn't dress stuff up and just offered flip answers. He answered every question in a detail fashion and once again, he inspired trust, I've got to tell you. Not many doctors do that
