About Gaspar Msangi, MD
Dr. Msangi received his associates in biology from Waldorf College in Forest City, IA, and his bachelor’s in biology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. He received his medical degree from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. He completed his general surgery and urology residency at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Mich. In his spare time Dr. Msangi volunteers his skills internationally providing urologic care in areas of need. He enjoys cooking, travelling and outdoors activities. Dr. Msangi is currently practicing with Wellstar Urology.

Dr. Msangi and his staff from the front desk to the patient room have been nothing less than professional and supportive in each and every visit!!

My doctor said that I needed a new blood test. I expected that he would give me a referral for a blood test, but he didn't at the end. So I'm trying to figure out should I go back to my primary care physician and get a referral for a blood test or do I call him back and ask him about the blood test.

I would never come to that clinic ever again. After my procedure, I was sitting in urine. They were too busy asking me questions about what I wanted to do next to be even concerned that I was sitting in urine. I would never come back there. Goodbye.

I would see Jermaine Taft again without question, but Gaspar Msangi I WILL NOT see again!! He does not listen and blows off any questions. When asked for specific tests, he changes the subject and flat refuses to discuss. I came in complaining of kidney pain and severe abdominal pain and he discounted ANYTHING I had to say.

Overall it was a good appointment, however it was pretty strange for the provider to come in and ask why we were there for this procedure. Of course it was because the provider said so. He came out and said he needs to read the chart, I found that strange because he hadn't before coming in the room. Maybe my expectations are too high. Also the front desk lady, is not welcoming at all. She was on her phone when we walked in and she didn't try to turn it over while checking us in. She always has a frown on her face and she really makes me feel like she doesn't want to be there. I have over 30 years of front desk/medical office experience, and first impressions are so important to keep the patients coming back as well as establishing good relationships with the community.
