Dr. Tsipotis works in the division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Medical College of Georgia. He is a graduate of Democritus University of Thrace Department of Medicine in Greece. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston. He then completed his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, followed by his advanced training in inflammatory bowel diseases at Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.

I have no problem with the care I receive here. I do have a problem that I'm now being charged $120 for a "hospital fee" in addition to my $15 copay. The insurance is suppose to contract my copay, then the hospital tacks on a higher fee. How can they get away with doing this? I will not be using other physicians from this place in the future. And reluctantly I may have to go somewhere else for my digestive healthcare. Then I would have to change my insurance to allow me to do that. This extra fee was tacked on to my bill at the end of 2025.

Yes. When I was there, we walked up, registered in, did all the signing. Then they called me back, put me in the room, and we sat there for over an hour or more. I think more than an hour. before anybody came in there. I don't know what happened, what kept them out, but they should have sent somebody in there to let me know what was going on, instead of having us sit there so long. His assistance doctor and other staff were kind and polite. There was so much difference in attitudes of staff since WellStar took over.
