Dr. Spearman is an assistant professor at Medical College of Georgia who holds dual appointments in the departments of Psychiatry and Health Behavior and Internal Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at Spelman College in Atlanta before attending medical school at MCG. She then trained in the combined Internal Medicine and Psychiatry program at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she served as chief resident during her last year. Dr. Spearman’s areas of expertise are consultation liaison psychiatry, outpatient internal medicine and medical student education. Her research interests include the effects of depression on diabetes and hypertension management, as well as the effects of undiagnosed anxiety and depression on the academic performance of medical and other health professional students.

Tried to get thru to physician for 3days, said would check with md and call me back, never did. Finally sent private e mail to md. Dr. Spearman is Great. Wellstar calls, if one calls back, they have no idea why you called when you identify yourself.
