The virtual platform didn't work well. The doctor couldn't hear me even though everything was correct on my end. I use Zoom and Teams often for work and do not have these issues. She did solve the issue by calling me so we used sound over the phone and just muted ourselves on the computer.

Dr Emma Atherton Staples is such a sincere, through doctor. I'm not used to having someone truly listen and "hear" me and think through my issues with me. She asks good questions and explains different options with me and she asks me what "I would like to do" , instead of telling me "what I need to do". She is always energetic, upbeat and positive yet genuine!! She has never been dismissive or condescending to me, as other doctors have. I'm almost 60 years old and not used to having a doctor so caring! She is competent and knowledgeable, asks thoughtful questions, to help get the whole picture, and explains things great. She has helped me greatly with depression and I feel at ease to come see her when i need to, which is so reassuring! You can tell that she truly likes helping and caring for her patients and that's priceless!
