About Edson Alexis, MD
Edson Alexis, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides primary care for patients age 16 and older in Acworth, Georgia. He is fluent in Spanish, French, and Creole, allowing him to effectively serve patients from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Alexis is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management. He also performs minor office-based procedures and enjoys building long-term relationships with his patients to help them achieve their best health.
He earned his medical degree from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago, Santo Domingo campus, and completed his family medicine residency at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center, graduating in 2025. Dr. Alexis is a proud member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading, playing pickleball, basketball, and soccer, sharpening his chess skills, and exploring diverse cuisines. Dr. Alexis welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
