Dr. Derrick Edwards completed his Medical Education at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA and returned to his home state of Mississippi to complete his Residency and Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center/Jackson VA Medical Center.
Dr. Edwards has a strong background in both inpatient and outpatient Cardiovascular Care. He is skilled in performing and interpreting a wide range of diagnostic procedures including MUGA/ERNA (Equilibrium Radionuclide Angiography), Echocardiography (TTE/TEE), Nuclear Stress Testing, Holter/event monitoring, and Cardiac Amyloid PYP Scans. He has a proven ability to manage complex cardiovascular conditions such as Heart Failure, Coronary Artery Disease, Arrhythmias, Pulmonary Hypertension, Resistant Hypertension, and Hyperlipidemia. Dr. Edwards is committed to evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and continuous clinical excellence.
