I was very pleased my second visit with Dr. Chantal Lewis and I've already referred my spouse over to her and she's changed who she was going to be using for endocrinologist over to Dr. Lewis. I think that probably says a lot about how pleased I have been with my first two visits with her and her attentiveness to my issues and helping me make progress on my diabetes type 2 period. First time meeting new Doctor. She was friendly but very focused on the task at hand (i.e. checking medications taken list; asking personal well-being questions; very business-like manner). Did not engage in conversation other than medical related dialogue. Did not explain what lab tests were being ordered for me. She renewed my Rx's and told me to make an appointment for next year, go get lab work done. Perhaps I was expecting more from our 1st meeting. I had been with the previous Doctor (who retired) for over 24 years and had developed a good rapport with her. I would have liked a little more "personable" experience meeting a new Doctor. For this visit, I was with the Doctor less than 10 minutes. Overall experience was good but lacking personable touch!

Dr. Lewis was okay as far as explaining to me about the thyroid. She said that she has ordered a test. I did not understand what type of test. She did not explain the test. She did not say that I would have to go to all hospitals around where I lived or whatever. Just certain hospitals, certain areas does this imaging. I walked out of there with no knowledge of anything that I was supposed to do. She is not, she's not a warm person. She's not really interested in your problems. The only thing that I got out of my appointment is that I did understand a little bit more about the thyroid. Other than that, I would never go back to her.

Did not engage in conversation other than medical related dialogue. Did not explain what lab tests were being ordered for me. She renewed my Rx's and told me to make an appointment for next year, go get lab work done. Perhaps I was expecting more from our 1st meeting. I had been with the previous Doctor (who retired) for over 24 years and had developed a good rapport with her. I would have liked a little more "personable" experience meeting a new Doctor. For this visit, I was with the Doctor less than 10 minutes. Overall experience was good but lacking personable touch!
