Dr. Brett Tomashitis is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist with specialized expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of Heart Rhythm Disorders. Dr. Tomashitis earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Clemson University, graduating from the Calhoun Honors College Summa Cum Laude with Faculty Honors.
He received his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He continued his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at MUSC. He then further specialized in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Emory University, serving as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Tomashitis specializes in Cardiac Electrophysiology including complex Arrhythmia Management, Cardiac Implantable Electrical Devices (Pacemakers, Defibrillators, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy, Leadless Technology), extraction, and Advanced Ablation. His interests include Leadless Technology and Complex Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation and Ventricular Tachycardia, including utilization of Pulsed Field Ablation. Dr. Tomashitis is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and is Board-Eligible in Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
Dr. Tomashitis was born and raised in Columbia, SC. In his free time, he enjoys international travel, scuba diving, and fitness.

Well, I was very happy with the doctor, the way he took care of me, everything. And also he recommended because I didn't do the check in my peacemaker. He sent me to the peacemaker. He took care of it, but I got problem with the nurses because they told me they were going to take care of the other medicine and they haven't been taken care of. I thought they told me they were going to try to get the doctor to sign it, but why did they tell me from the beginning? Yes. And now they told me different. Bye.
