The lab department needs some serious help. I waited almost 2 hours to give my labs that takes 2 minutes.

I have not received a message from Barbara Huff, which she said she would give me as soon as all of the tests were completed. I have not received this. I think I should have. Thank you. Bye.

This was my annual Medicare Wellness Checkup. As usual at this facility, everything was spotless. Chastity recorded my weight, took me to an examining room, took my vitals, asked how I was feeling today, etc. Barbara came in shortly afterward, interviewed me, introduced me to Stephan, a VA nurse and student, then asked if I minded if Stephan continued the checkup. Stephan washed his hands, then continued the checkup. He was thorough with the physical exam, asked all the right questions, took notes, and made some suggestions concerning my health. Then Barbara continued with a few more questions, prescription refills, wrote up some lab orders specifically for me, based on my most recent lab results. All in all, I left feeling very confident about my health and what steps that I should take to maintain it. Barbara and Stephan answered my questions in a way that I could understand them. The entire staff, from checkin to departure, was friendly, courteous, and professional.

I had to wait for the lab for about an hour. Also, when I was taken back to the exam room I was asked to leave a urine sample, then was asked to give another urine sample in the lab. Not sure who can do this twice in an hour, so I told the labs I already did this. Received a call later that day that they in fact needed another sample for other tests beside the dip test so now I'm told I have to go to the hospital to have the urine test, which is totally inconvenient. More than likely I will skip this test.

The delay to wait for the NP was no where near on time and it seems that given the limited number of patients the visit should have been according to the schedule I was given. Additionally, it seems that the push for medication, scripts and vaccinations is too much! My opinion...

Office visit was great! However I did have to wait about 1 hour and 20 min to have them do my bloodwork at the lab. Apparently there was only one person working doing bloodwork.
