I have been very happy with my OB practice throughout this pregnancy, but my appointment with NP Ashley was the most disappointing healthcare experience I've had during either of my pregnancies. From the moment she entered the room, I felt rushed and dismissed. She seemed uninterested in hearing my concerns and performed my swab and cervical check without engaging in meaningful discussion. She then attempted to leave without asking whether I had any questions. When I told her I did have questions, she appeared annoyed by the interruption. I am 35 weeks pregnant and experiencing significant pelvic and back pain that has, at times, made it difficult to stand upright. While I understand these symptoms can be common in late pregnancy, I was seeking advice on pain management and coping strategies. Instead, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed as "common" without any meaningful discussion or guidance. I also requested a cervical check because my first pregnancy followed a specific pattern and I wanted information that would help me mentally prepare for labor with my second child. Rather than simply explaining the limitations of cervical checks, she argued with my reasoning and told me that because I went to term with my first child, it "doesn't really matter." The comment felt dismissive and unnecessary. What upset me most was not the medical information itself, but the lack of compassion and communication. Patients deserve to feel heard, especially during the final weeks of pregnancy when physical discomfort and anxiety are often at their highest. I left the appointment feeling dismissed, uncared for, and in tears. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because the quality of patient care is not only about clinical knowledge, but also about listening, communication, and empathy.

My problem appointment was top of the list. I was in and out in a timely manner everything was explained in terms that I could understand and was told which treatments would best suite my needs. The front desk staff and the members in the back treated me kindly and with the upmost respect.

One thing I did not like is no one went over with me what my insurance coverage is, or what that looks like. O just got a text after I was seen of an updated bill and was told I had a copay but never was asked about it after again. I used to work in healthcare so I like to know upfront what my insurance covers and doesn't cover.
