I arrived to my appointment on time. I was greeted pleasantly by the reception nurse. Bottled water and snacks were available in the waiting room which was appreciated. There were other patients waiting. I filled out a short form while waiting. My wait time seemed long but I was finally called back after about 30 minutes. I was taken care of by a friendly nurse. I finally saw the LPN who was new to me from my previous visit. We discussed the reasons and concerns for my visit. I was treated kindly and professionally. There seemed to be some confusion about how much time I had been allocated for my visit as I had more treatment requests and needs than usual (which I had asked about when I phoned for my appointment). The LPN did a good job of handling most everything I needed, but I sensed some uncertainty as to what was to be addressed next. The LPN ordered some tests and said some of my requests would be addressed by their providing physician at my next appointment. I was informed that for some of my requests I should follow-up for treatment by another physician who would be better suited to handle those needs. I understand that there are many specialists needed to treat my particular condition. This practice came highly recommended to me by many WellStar doctors and nurses. I have been seen and treated by this practice's highly experienced physician and surgeon. Following this appointment I sense that there should be more support in this field within the WellStar Medical Group. In all fairness it was lunchtime by the time I was about done so the staff was in a hurry to head out for that. My needs weren't entirely met at this appointment but I'm hopeful they will be with follow-up calls from the staff and future treatment by the providing physician and another physician as was recommended.

I was told that the doctor does not do virtual visits, which I didn't know anybody would not do one. But anyway, if it's just a meet and greet and talk, to me it seems like it's better and more efficient of my time and the doctor's time to do a virtual visit.
