Dr. Post completed his general surgery internship at the University of Vermont Medical Center, his neurosurgery residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, his pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and his spinal neurosurgery fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He taught at both George Washington University and Virginia Commonwealth University before becoming director of pediatric neurosurgery for Inova Neurosurgery, even serving as co-founder and co-director of the system-wide Inova Concussion Program. After leading the multidisciplinary craniofacial team at Goryeb Children's Hospital in New Jersey, Dr. Post now serves as assistant professor and chief of complex neurosurgical spine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

The nurse that took me back was very good and listened to my situation she definitely showed concern. Doctor was 3 hrs late I was patient but it frustrated me. My appt was at 11:00 he came in to see me at 2:00. Hope this doesn't happen at my March 2026 visit.

Biggest problem with seeing doctors at Wellstar downtown is the inconvenience of parking. Dr. Post is good. He's always willing to see me. Parking and the time it takes to get checked in are the problems.

Dr. Post was the very first surgeon that took time to not only listen, but to educate me on everything that was going on with my body and my neck. I've had multiple back surgeries, and when I say the very first neurospine surgeon, I truly mean that. He completely over succeeded my expectations. I would highly recommend him and trust him with everything. The care that he's given, the plan that he's set forth gave me hope and a new light at the end of the tunnel of what I felt was never ending. Dr. Post was amazing.

When I was in the ICU unit, they were very attentive to me. They took care of me, even in the midst of sometimes me not wanting to act right, but they still took care of me with love. And the other nurses helped me in any way I needed. It's a good staff there. Thank you.
