Dr. Mahmood was very competent and showed concern. The reason for my visit was to see if a blood test could be done to determine if any acid was in my bloodstream. Dr. Mahmood gently explained that if acid were in my bloodstream, it would be evident and constitute an emergency situation. I did not know that and was glad he explained it to me. Nevertheless, I am concerned that the medications I take for GERD seems to produce more acid. I have seen several GI doctors recently trying to understand why I'm not seeing any improvement in my GERD. Their recommendation is more medication. I understand and appreciate that they are doing what they feel will help me. I follow their recommendations; however, my condition does not change and sometimes it seems to get worst. I understand that as our bodies age we are going to experience changes. I'm trying to age gracefully and appreciate my doctor's assistance in my care. Dr. Mahmood reviewed the vitamins I take. I plan to eliminate some and go to a multivitamin as he recommended. He felt that some vitamins that I now take could cause digestive issues, contributing to my GERD. He seemed to have thoroughly reviewed my history and offered advice for my concerns. Thanks.

I normally see Dr. Christy who is my primary care physician for over 20 years. Today I saw Dr.Mahmood for the first time, he was excellent. He gave me a thorough examination, was very patient and explained in detail everything I needed to know about my condition.Excellent doctor very professional.
