About Scott McKee, MD
Dr. McKee graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his internship, residency, Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Dr. McKee is board certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology. His special interests are in complex coronary interventions and revascularization of chronically occluded coronary arteries, exercise stress testing, echocardiography and platelet biology and function. Dr. McKee joined Cardiovascular Medicine in August 2007. He is currently on staff at Wellstar Cobb, Douglas, Kennestone and Paulding hospitals. During his leisure time, he enjoys boating, fishing, camping and spending time with his wife and children.

Dr. McKee was very polite and helpful concerning my condition. His staff at the front desk as well as his nurse were extremely nice.

I am amazed at how my cardiologist was so ilinformed regarding nutrition for heart health. I created my own plan after doing my own research and applying it. Also, there are tests for plaque build up in the arteries that were never suggested. One test in particular is a CIMT which gives you a baseline of soft and calcified plaque in your carotid artery. Then you can test every 6 MO. To verify your diet and lifestyle changes are benefiting your overall arterial health.
